Vastu for Puja Room
Continue to describe the basic rules from Vastu Shastra: Barhmastan and the Room of Worship:

- Brahmasthana.
– The centerpiece of the house is always reserved for the inner courtyard or the hall for religious celebrations. If the house is divided into 81 square, then the middle 9 is the brahmasthana. This is the area around the navel Vastu-Purusha.
– The owner should take care of the brahmasthan. There should be no dirt or garbage in this zone. This causes big problems.
– In this area you can arrange a family altar.
– There should not be in this area partitions, columns, beams, fittings, fire fixtures, power communications, toilets, elevators, storerooms, stairs.
– The lines that cross the brahmasthan are especially important. These are extremely sensitive energy lines. On these lines there are special vulnerable points – marmas. These are vital organs and joints. Knowledge of marmas is used for massage, hatha yoga and martial arts. Marmas are the points at which lines intersect the brahmasthan and the centers of squares through which conasutras pass. If they are injured by nails, stakes, heavy objects – the owner will have problems in the relevant parts of the body.
- Room of worship.
– The room should be located in the northeast direction, or in the area of Brahmasthan. In the east, not so bad too. The deity must be on the east wall.
– The arch is well shaped in the form of a dome or a pyramid, besides the spiritual good, a person will also receive healing powers.
– The walls are recommended to be painted in white or light blue colors.
– Do not sleep, live or invite guests – this is a holy place in the house.
– This direction is also ideal for storing water. Thus, underground water tanks, filter, etc. should stay in that direction.
– Cabinets are located along the southern and western walls.
– Perfect cleanliness must be maintained.
– If the altar is in the kitchen, then you can place it in the northeast, so that the face of the deity is facing west.
– The altar can be only on the 1st floor. There should not be living rooms above. It is better to make a cement pyramid above the altar on the second floor, so that no one would walk over them and do this to insult the deities.
What can be done in the altar room?
– The duty of a family man is to worship the Lord at home. It will cure him of material attachment and extinguish the fire of lust in his heart.
– The most important action to be performed in the altar room is the joint chanting of the holy names of God.
– Joint reading of the scriptures and storing them in this room, along with the deity is very favorable. Performing worship in the altar room inspires the human body.
– You can offer garlands to the image of God and wear them later.
– It is favorable to bypass the altar clockwise. Bypassing the person stops the wheel of samsara (endless birth and death) and goes around all the places of pilgrimage located on the banks of the Ganges.
– Take prasad (sanctified food).
– To light incense sticks, to offer the altar and inhale their scent. Sanctified incense is the most healing herb. It cures the poison of material desires.
– Do not enter the altar shoes. Some do not take off their shoes at all, even coming from the street. This is an insult to the householder and Vastu-Purusha.
