Vastu Dinning Room

Rules for organizing a dining room:
– The best location – the western part of the house. Since it is ruled by Saturn and symbolically represents Bhooteshwara – hunger. Eat favorably facing east. The owner, his wife and eldest son should sit in the southwestern part of the room.
– The door to the dining room – from the east, north or west. The door should close tightly, leaving no gap at the bottom. The door to the dining room and the main entrance door to the house should not be opposite each other.
– The dining table should not be round, oval or other irregular shape. Desirable square or rectangular. Do not put it near the walls.
– Put the refrigerator in the south-eastern part of the room.
– There should not be a toilet near the dining room. But here you can wash the dishes. Put a sink in the north or east so that the water flows in the direction of the northeast corner.
– Between the kitchen and the dining room is not desirable to have a ladder.
– Wall color: light blue, yellow, light green, pale pink, pale orange, cream colors.
– Favorable mirrors on the east or north wall.
– Pictures of nature, drawings in the dining room create a joyful happy atmosphere. Rising sun, the beauty of nature, but without predatory animals.
Vastu Shastra also describe rules of nutrition.
Ayurveda, the Vedic science of health, contains nutritional guidelines and recommends purifying the mind to help maintain health and achieve spiritual advancement.
According to Ayurveda, a balanced diet is one that contains all six tastes in the quantities that are most suitable for a person’s constitution, physical and mental state, season and age.
Our taste and addiction to different types of food depends on the emotions that we experience or want to compensate for their lack, so sometimes we want sweets to get joy or spicy, if we are overcome by anger, sour, if we feel envious, salty to increase sensual satisfaction. Therefore, it is very important to be emotionally stable so as not to overeat and that the food feeds our body, and does not destroy it. How well digested food depends on the state of our digestive tract, health, which can be assessed by the state of the tongue:
– A clean tongue with a pleasant, reddish color indicates a good digestive tract.
– Plaque on the tongue indicates the presence of undigested food (or toxins) in the gastrointestinal tract.
– Plaque on the basis of the tongue says that undigested food is in the large intestine, in the middle – in the small intestine and in front – in the stomach.
The fire of digestion cannot burn brightly and digest our food, if there is still undigested food in the digestive tract. Fasting is a good way to clean the digestive tract. Fasting can be full, without food and water, or on water or juice. During fasting, you should not increase your sleep, so fasting on a juice with active life is preferable to a full fasting half asleep. During fasting, the energy normally used for digestion digests toxins.
Any fire will burn better in a clean place with enough air. Similarly, the fire of digestion will burn better when the stomach is not completely filled. Two handfuls should be enough, because the stomach is not much more than that. Belching suggests that you need to pay attention to this – 3 belching is a sign of overeating.
Food should be prepared and distributed by people who have a genuine desire to satisfy God and His devotees. The purifying qualities of prasad (sanctified food) are that it is prepared, offered, distributed, and eaten with love for the Lord.
Ayurveda says that food, after it has been eaten, is divided into three parts by the digestive system: the physical body is formed from the first, the second part is removed as waste, and the third part forms the mind. Thus, the consciousness of the cook will affect the mind of the person who eats the food, but if the person eats the food, immersing himself in the consciousness of God, then this will clear all undesirable qualities that may be in the food.
Tips to help us concentrate on eating prasad with total devotion to God:
– we should not eat when there is no physical hunger, when we are upset, are in apathy, or after intense physical work.
– wash hands, face and feet before eating. Sit in a clean, peaceful place.
– When prasad is ready, offer prayers to the Lord at first.
– to send information about the density and temperature of food to the brain, it is recommended to eat by hand.
– focus on food. It is recommended to eat silently in order to avoid swallowing air. If we are talking, it’s better to have a light conversation.
– After eating, wash your hands, face and feet. The condition of the eyes is facilitated by rinsing them with water, since the heat released by digestion can impair vision.
– then you can walk about 100 steps and if you are tired, it is better to lie on your left side for twenty minutes. If possible, avoid sleep, as this may slow down digestion.
– Do not exercise, at least for an hour after eating. It is better not to sleep and not to engage in training, at least for two hours.
– It is best not to eat at night, because it can be an obstacle to deep sleep and can cause disturbing dreams. Especially avoid sour foods or sweets.
