– Pay special attention to the lighting. A chandelier on the ceiling will not be enough for a large living room. You can place floor lamps near the sofa and lamps on the bedside tables or walls next to the armchairs, which will add comfort and highlight the necessary details.
– It is also necessary to pay attention to the location of the TV. It is best to place it on a free wall opposite the sofa, but be careful to choose the size of the TV based on the distance from the sofa to the wall where you plan to place it. The distance from the sofa to the TV should be equal to 3-5 diagonals of the TV in order to preserve the health and comfort of the eyes. Just do not place the TV in front of the window, it is unhealthy.
– If there is a lot of space, then corner sofas that will look great and accommodate a larger number of your guests would be best. But if the living room space is small, then it is best to place a double sofa and a couple of chairs.
– Nowadays, the placement of sofas near the walls is a thing of the past. Do not be afraid to move the sofas away from the walls, which will help to visually expand the space and will look more elegant and modern.
